Dear Friends

I have accepted an invitation from Phillip Aspinall Archbishop of Brisbane to become the MEC (Ministry Education Commission) Executive Director/Principal St Francis Theological College. My responsibility is to provide leadership that will further the vision and direction of the MEC and the Diocese and oversee the formation of candidates for ordained ministry. I will be responsible for the following agencies and twenty staff members:
• St Francis’ Theological College
• Discernment and Development
• Household of Deacons
• Brookfield Centre for Christian Spirituality
• Education for Ministry (EfM)
• Faith and Formation
• Religious Education
• Children’s, Youth and Families Ministry

I begin early January and we will be living at the college in Milton (along side the XXXX brewery). Anne and I will be concluding our time here Christmas Day.

In terms of the future, The Rev’d Canon Bill Goodes will be full-time acting Dean commencing Boxing Day. Bill is a highly respected senior priest, who has acted in this capacity before. Chris and Bill are members of the Cathedral community.
Anne and I have had a fantastic 8 years at the Cathedral. We will always be grateful for our time with you.
